Dream Factory: Wall St/Money Never Sleeps
Between September and October I shot a documentary series for Germany’s N-TV which was tied in to the release of the Oliver Stone movie “Money Never Sleeps”. The goal was to provide an intriguing partner to the movie’s fictional world by investigating and fleshing out dimensions of its real life counterparts.

Markus Koch takes us to one of the Central Park locations of the new movie and breaks things down for us. Our hard working sound mixer Michel Tsagli doubled as a grip here. Not content to sling a mere heavy mixer and boom, he also carried a silk and brilliantly managed to keep our hero in the bulls-eye for the whole take.

Needed to hide an identity, so got creative in interviewing this ex-con who went to prison for insider trading.

For the motorcycle chase scene in the film, we interviewed Shia LeBoeuf’s stunt double Adam - who was hired from the Ducati dealership he works at in Soho. These machines are awesome. I strapped a GoProHD camera on Adam’s bike on his way in to work one day. He turned on the juice and gave me a breakneck run over the BQE and Williamsburg Bridge. Above: a little fun at Ducati with the Zylight Z90, which can generate nice saturated colors when needed.

This guy serves as an advisor to white collar criminals - and business is booming.

A fun way to do an interview - in the ring, with interviewer and subject sparring. A clever idea from director Michael Lightsmith.
